Introduction and Overview
Swat: On Thursday, October 3, 2024, Huqooq ul Ebad Development Foundation organized an awareness session on climate change mitigation and adaptation. The session was held at Zamung Kor Institute, Swat Campus, a center dedicated to child protection. The participants included social workers, teachers, and students.
The President of Huqooq ul Ebad Development Foundation, Syed Muhammad Ashfaq, highlighted the organization’s objectives. He informed the participants that his organization is working for the betterment of society and taking it as a cause. He emphasized that climate change is a crucial issue, and it is vital for our youth, social workers, and academia to be aware of it.

Following this, Research and Planning Consultant, Mr. Ashfaq Ahmed, conducted a detailed session on climate change, explaining various aspects of the issue. He clarified how climate change is negatively impacting our environment through global temperature rise, glacier melting, rising sea levels, and unpredictable weather patterns.
In conclusion, Syed Muhammad Ashfaq thanked all the participants and stressed the need to change our behaviors and lifestyle to tackle climate change effectively.
Later, the Assistant Director gave the Huqooq ul Ebad Development Foundation team a tour of the Zamung Kor Institute in Swat and briefed them about their work. The President of Huqooq ul Ebad appreciated their efforts and acknowledged their dedication.
